Ascent Trip Report

Bob and I started at the Hurricane Creek TH and then took the first right turn. This is a steep trail that is very efficient at gaining elevation. Route finding is easy on the formal trail and then a climbers trail along the ridge to the base of the spire. The spire is only about 50ft high and the first 25 ft is on good rock. I was glad to be off this one. Views are magnificent in all directions. The Wallowa's are fantastic. My GPS added a little elevation to this hike and there is a little up and down particularly near Legore Lake.
