Ascent Trip Report

Summit Rock Point is the high point of Surveyor Mountain. I accessed Summit Rock Point from the Keno Road and some good logging roads. I parked on the west side of the summit and hiked through 15-20 ft second growth and some bushwhacking before getting to the summit area. The summit area is a narrow band of rocks running roughly north/south. I climbed up about 20 ft onto the rocky area and inspected all the candidates for the highest point. I think the southern most rocky area is highest and that is the one indicated on the topo as the high point. I surprised a buzzard near the high point and he took flight. Views are ok.
