| Elevation:||5062 ft / 1542 m|
Ascent Trip ReportDrive forest service road 6066 about 6 miles to its end at a y junction. It is somewhat muddy at present but the road has seen recent maintainance. Both forks are bermed. Take the left fork. After a short distance it becomes a trail. This trail looks quite new higher up and is not indicated on any of my maps. Follow this trail to the eastern "summit" labeled 5062'.
The highpoint indicated on maps and on this site may be misplaced. A large block monolith about 500 yards to the west appears to be slightly higher. Two other points along the ridge also appear to be of nearly equal height. I do not have a hand level so this is merely a subjective observation. A cliff band bars easy access from the trail to these other three western points. I did not visit any of these other points. From a distance the monolith looks formidable-a rope would probably be required.
