|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|

Ascent Trip ReportI approached Peak 3180 from Elk Creek Road, Sugar Pine Road, and then turned left on a lesser road where I drove through Elkhorn Creek and under the electric power transmission lines. I turned west off this road on a marginal road that was grass covered and seldom used. I wouldn't drive this road if it was wet, but I did today. It took me up along the west side of Peak 3180 and its northerly neighbor Peak 3260. I found an old overgrown logging road that headed up to the 3180/3260 saddle, so I parked and followed it up to the saddle. At the saddle I left this old road and turned south towards the Peak 3180 summit. This ridge is a little brushy, but I made good progress. Near the summit, there is a rocky obstacle. I had to scramble up these rocks to the summit area and then on to the high point. There are some views from the summit. From here I went back down to the saddle and then up to the summit of Peak 3260. The stats for the hike include all EG and mileage for both peaks.
