Ascent of Heppsie Mountain on 2010-05-27
|Date:||Thursday, May 27, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4431 ft / 1350 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI accessed Heppsie Mtn from Hwy 140 and road 36-3E-31 known as the Heppsie Mtn road. I followed this road up to just east of the summit where a spur road goes towards the high point. The spur road is bermed, so I parked and hiked the road to where it ended and then up the open slopes to the high point. The area has been logged and it is easy to see where the high point is located. The high point is flat and there are a couple rocks that are guarded by a scrub oak that I think is the high point. It rained on me a little on this hike.
