Ascent of Peak 3340 on 2010-05-23
|Date:||Sunday, May 23, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||3340 ft / 1018 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI drove up from Sterling Creek Road. The BLM road ended in a large gravel area where I parked. There is a quad trail heading up the ridge towards the high point, so I followed it. It climbed steeply up the ridge and then up and down the ridge line towards the summit. Near the summit, I walked past the summit and down the quad trail a couple hundred feet to where the brush ended and then a trail led me right up to the high point. Great views. I watched a couple hang gliders take off from Woodrat Mountain across the valley.
