Ascent Trip Report

I accessed Buck Rock from West Branch Elk Creek Road and Moline Creek Road. I found an old spur road on the north side of the peak and drove that to the end. At the end there are 2 quad trails heading north. I took the left one that looked like it went uphill. Afterall, that is where I wanted to go - - uphill! the quad trail was good, but then it started down and started turning west away from the summit. I left the trail and bushwhacked up the steep slope to the summit. On the rocky summit, there is a small antenna and and some electronics. It looks like there used to be a fire lookout on the summit also. Great views. There is a small road that comes up to the summit and it is probably the one that I left to bushwhack. I bushwhacked back down to the road, so I don't know if it is the same one or not.
