Ascent Trip ReportWarm spring day hike! Started off at the Crawford Depot taking the Avalon Trail to the A-Z to Mt. Tom Spur. Snow was very soft and postholing was a major problem both up and down (should have brough snowshoes!). Views from the top were good, but there is really nothing to see but woods and trail on the way up. Some decent cascades early on (take the cascade loop off the Avalon Trail). A-Z trail is NOT well maintained or marked after Avalon intersection!!
