Ascent of Peak 3700 on 2010-05-12
|Date:||Wednesday, May 12, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||3700 ft / 1127 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI drove up Birdseye Creek Road and took the left fork of the road up to Bear Pen Gap. I turned left on a lesser road in the gap and drove up to elevation 3,400 where the road going straight ahead was gated. I parked and hiked up the road a little then turned and climbed through the forest towards the summit. I found another road along the summit ridge that I followed a little more and then left it and hiked up through the forest to the hgih point. The route through the forest is a little brushy. On the way down, I followed an old skidder trail that dumped me out right at the locked gate in front of my truck.
