|Date:||Saturday, May 1, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||3862 ft / 1177 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThis is a nice hike. Drove up Tolman Creek Road from the City of Ashland and parked at the Toothpick Trailhead. This is one of the maze of trails that the City of Ashland has established in the Ashland Creek Watershed. I followed this trail for about 1.25 miles to Lambs Saddle where several trails converge. I crossed the main trail through the area and took the Caterpillar Trail on the other side. The Caterpillar Trail climbs steeply to the summit of Peak 3862. The trail goes right over the summit. This area is heavily used by hikers, dog walkers, joggers, and mountain bikers. No views from the forested summit. Nice hike through the forest.
