Ascent Trip ReportSpent the previous day hiking thru Carrigan Notch and to Desolation camp for a fun overnight. A week in Colorado is a hard act to follow, but this truly was a superb hike!!! Signal Ridge on day two was a more than spectacular ridge crest! One of my favorite spots on planet Earth! Also notable was the Desolation trail up. Most peakbaggers are too intent on their lists to take the route thru Carrigan Notch and up Desolation. As nice as Signal Ridge is, they miss out on so much by taking their short route, it makes me shudder!
