Ascent Trip Report

A small shapely hill overlooking Malham Tarn with the remains of an ancient cairn at the summit. Accessible from the south (where the crags shown on the map are not as substantial as shown there) or the north. I started from the car park to the south of Malham Tarn.

I ascended this hill from the south and descended to the north en route to the path known as Monk's Road and an ascent of Parson's Pulpit. The Malham Estate was a part of the Fountains Abbey holdings until the 16th century and this "road" forms the route between the Abbey and its former property.
