Ascent of Spectre Peak on 2010-03-26
|Date:||Friday, March 26, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4482 ft / 1366 m|
Ascent Trip ReportTough Hike! Took 9 hours. Parked on Hwy 62, hiked 3 miles to base of mountain and then another mile up the wash. Then I wandered up a confusing maze of steep washes before going over Aqua BM and then down into a little rocky valley before climbing up Spectre. Lots of rocks to climb over and around. Very time consuming. A GPS is very handy because everything looks like a pile of rocks with little or no vegetation.
