|Date:||Friday, March 19, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||Peak 2980 B|
| Elevation:||2980 ft / 908 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI drove up from Sardine Creek to the P3100-P3334 saddle to the south. I hiked over Peak 3100 and Peak 2980A before continuning on to Peak 2980B. Coming down the north ridge of Peak 3100 I found an old logging road along the ridge and followed it down to the P3100-P2980A saddle where a better road headed up towards Peak 2980A. After tagging Peak 2980A, I returned to the good road and continued north to the next summit along the ridge Peak 2980B. There is a road the goes around the east side of Peak 2980B, and I followed this for a little ways before bushwhacking up to the summit. This bushwhack was not easy. My GPS said that Peak 2980A is actually a little higher (15ft) in elevation than Peak 2980B. I combined all the hiking stats onto this peak since it was the furthest away.
