Ascent Trip ReportA day in the mountains don't get any better than this one. A beautiful late-summer day with blue skies, warm temps and outstanding views. Even all the tourists at Whiteface summit couldn't hamper this one. Talked to an older couple at the top who could not understand why we would want to walk up when we could have drove up. Soaked up the rays and the views at the summit for a good hour before we headed down the nasty steep descent on the Connery Pond Trail. My new favorite hike in the Adirondacks.
