Climbing to high points of the landscape has been an interest of mine from an early age where I started climbing trees as there were few high points in flat Texas.
Beginning in 1970 I started hiking and climbing in the Sierra Nevada of California. From that beginning, I went on to climb in the North Cascades,Northern Rockies, Central Rockies and Southern Rockies as well as a number of High Points around the US and the two high volcanoes of Mexico. There are many great mountain writers but H.W. Tilman is still my favorite. May his spirit live on in each of you.
