"Then why climb Tukuhnikivats? Because I prefer to. Because no one else will if I don't - and somebody has to do it." - Ed Abbey

I have been a lover of mountains for as long as I can remember and a peakbagger of sorts since I first started hiking seriously in 1991. In the beginning I was mainly interested in better known peaks and any place with a view, and did many repeats to favorite areas. That remains a driving force. But I also actively kept track of maybe a half dozen lists and figured that someday I might finish a couple of them. Recent years have become much more list obsessed and focused on exploring new peaks, some of which prove to be great, some definitely otherwise. I think the ideal may be a more even blending of those two approaches.
