Introducing my son Aidan to the wonderful world of peakbagging.

My interest in the outdoors began in 1995 when my best friend Duane planned a backpacking trip in the Uinta Mountains of Utah. We were in for an adventure as the trail had not been maintained in a decade. After that, my thirst for getting off the beaten path and into the wilderness was stronger. I pursued numerous goals in climbing during the rest of my time in Utah. My friends Duane, Dan, Matt, and I set our sights on climbing all 32 peaks over 10,000 feet in Salt Lake County between July, 1998 and June, 1999, which I finished June 30, 1999. Since 2009 I have been back into peakbagging and gone out to the mountains as often as I can. I have also introduced my son, Aidan, to the joys of hiking in the mountains. His first hike was when he was less than a year old in 2003 in Reykjanes, Iceland. He's been hooked ever since! A weekend spent indoors is a weekend wasted...
