Ascent Trip Report

This was a six day backpack trip from the Shepherd Pass trailhead over Shepherd Pass, down Tyndall Creek to the Kern River, up the Kern River to Lake South America, and then out over Shepherd Pass and down to the trailhead. On the fifth day of the trip our group climbed Mount Williamson from Lake 3661 meters located at Shepherd Pass via Williamson Bowl and the peak's class 3 West Face route.
