Ascent Trip Report

This was done as a three day backpack, with John and I staying at Horse Camp for two nights and day hiking the peak from there. Starting from camp at 1:00 a.m., the ascent required an ice ax and crampons all the way to the top. The decent, on the other hand, involved a long glissade down soft snow down Avalanche Gulch. Also, we climbed Misery Hill on the way to Mount Shasta.
